Sites
See and edit the sites you are licensed for.
Access Sites from Tools or by appending /sites to your KeepnTrack URL.
Table of Contents
The sites you are licensed for show up automatically; there is no need to add or remove sites manually. Please contact our Sales Team if you would like to add additional sites.
For any given site, you can unlock the record in order to update site information.
Why can’t I change my site name?
Your site name and short code are an essential part of your license, so these values can only be changed by contacting our Sales Team.
Refresh registration
If you’ve recently changed your license (e.g. added an extra feature), you may need to refresh your registration before seeing the changes.
Remove site
Only remove sites if the site has physically closed down or if there has been some major error in site creation. Removing a site gives you the option to reassign that site’s records (Users, etc) to a remaining site.
Note that if you are registered for a number of sites, then after removing the site, it may reappear in this list; to permanently remove a site from your license, contact our Sales Team.
Site information
Each site has information specific to it.
- Site Notice. This notice can show to operators and visitors (via topnav user menu > Site Info). Usually it contains site info such as parking information, or hours of operation.
- Site Contact. This name shows to users in the site info.
- Email. This shows to users in the site info. It can also be used for important system notifications. It’s used as a general ‘from’ address when sending email from KeepnTrack.
- Phone. This shows to users in the site info.
- Address. This shows to users in the site info.
- Site Record Notes. These are notes for you and other operators only, if you need to remember particular things about this site.
Union Site
The Union Site is shown at the top of your site list in bold. The Union Site is not a normal, licensed site, and isn’t used for sign-in. Instead, it’s meant to be a bit of a catch-all to help you maintain your sites. The Union Site is where the default preferences for new sites are defined and where records with an undefined site can be assigned. For example, if you import users with an invalid site ID, those users will be assigned to the union site instead. While belonging to the union site, users will not be able to sign in to kiosks. Run the Move Users to Site utility to assign users to a regular site.
